Overview
As Director, SI PI you lead a cross-disciplinary team to advance the Bank’s sustainable infrastructure agenda. You oversee portfolio management, donor fund activity, and technical/engineering input for investments and policy work. You collaborate with multiple teams to ensure quality delivery and impact across power, energy, transport, and social infrastructure sectors. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on risk, project, and donor relationship management to amplify the Bank's development outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction across Portfolio, Project Preparation and Implementation, and TC Grants to meet SIG’s objectives
- Oversee upstream feasibility studies, technical due diligence, and engineering input for investments
- Coordinate with policy dialogue and reform efforts, including Green Cities and climate strategies
- Manage donor funds sourcing and reporting in collaboration with Donor Partnerships
- Monitor and protect credit quality and portfolio risk, including restructuring oversight
- Lead budgeting, procurement, and resource management for the team
- Recruitment, performance management and development of team members; uphold Bank behaviours and integrity
- Represent SIG in senior leadership discussions and cross-group collaboration
- Support sectoral issues and data management for the Bank as a whole
Key requirements
- Deep sector knowledge in sustainable infrastructure
- Experience in origination, structuring and implementation of debt instruments
- Financial, accounting and credit analysis skills for transaction structuring
- Experience with distressed projects and risk management
- Familiarity with reform and impact agenda, including TC activities
- Knowledge of Bank policies across environmental, social, procurement, integrity
- Strong relationship-building with private and public sector counterparts
- Experience in leadership, coaching, and performance management
- Strong written and oral communication skills
