We are supporting a company with seeking a senior AI/ML leader to build and scale machine learning capability within drug discovery. The role focuses on applying machine learning to real discovery challenges, from target identification through to molecular design and translational insight. You will lead a high-performing team, define long-term AI strategy, and ensure delivery of production-ready models that directly support discovery programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of ML scientists and engineers focused on discovery applications
- Define and execute the AI/ML roadmap aligned to discovery priorities
- Develop and deploy deep learning and generative models for molecular design, property prediction, and multi-modal data integration
- Partner closely with chemists, biologists, and translational scientists
- Establish engineering standards, model governance, and reproducible workflows
- Drive publication-quality research where appropriate, while maintaining delivery focus
