The Audit Analyst role is an ideal career pivot for professionals with experience in a marketing agency finance team (Media, Creative, or BTL). You will play a critical role in supporting and conducting high-value audits across a diverse portfolio of UK and European clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review of agreements between client and agency for audit preparation.
- Select intelligent audit samples based on internal audit guidelines.
- Execute core audit tests, including agency invoices, agency fees, media plans and client approvals, payment analysis and further testing.
- Proactively manage communications with agency finance teams to ensure data requests and technical queries are resolved efficiently.
- Manage individual deadlines across multiple concurrent projects, providing regular, structured progress updates to the Audit Lead.
- Draft clear, concise, and evidence-based findings to be included in the final audit reports, ensuring all observations are backed by data.
- Engage proactively with mentors to deepen your understanding of complex media activities and emerging industry trends.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience working in a Finance role in a marketing agency finance department (media, creative, or BTL).
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or an ambition to start) is preferred.
- Fluency in English, other languages beneficial given our international remit.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience with Mediaocean (Prisma/DDS) or similar agency-specific ERP systems.
- A "detective" mentality—you enjoy spotting the needle in the haystack and aren’t afraid to question why a number doesn’t look right.
- A willingness and ability to travel (domestic and international) as required.
