About the team and the role: As eBay continues to expand, the eBay Live team is building a high-impact Business Development organization focused on growing the marketplace through seller acquisition, partnerships, and inventory expansion. This role supports eBay Live’s growth by identifying and activating high-value sellers, shaping category strategies, and strengthening the seller ecosystem. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners and may lead or support junior team members, depending on level, while contributing directly to marketplace performance and long‑term growth.

What you will accomplish:

  • Grow eBay Live by identifying, securing, and activating high-value sellers that bring strategic relevance, operational readiness, and scalable impact.
  • Drive seller performance by supporting GMV per seller, acquisition targets, and category strategies aligned with eBay Live priorities.
  • Build and manage a healthy business development pipeline through accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Negotiate partnership terms and collaborate with Legal to draft and finalize agreements with sellers and inventory partners.
  • Use market research, competitive analysis, and industry insights to identify emerging opportunities and category trends.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support revenue targets, investment decisions, and overall marketplace value.
  • Coach and develop Business Development Associates and Sales Coordinators by using performance insights to support growth, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in Business Development and/or an Account Executive role, with a demonstrated results‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to work toward performance goals that extend beyond GMV‑based metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with external partners and cross‑functional internal teams.
  • Strong relationship‑building, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Analytical capability, including strong proficiency with Excel and performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with common internet marketing methodologies and business models.
  • CRM experience is required, with a strong preference for Salesforce.
