About The Team And The Role
Join a team responsible for building and evolving a highly customised Salesforce platform that supports critical business functions and central initiatives across the organisation. As a Salesforce Lead Developer, you will combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, working closely with Product Managers, Architects, Platform Engineering teams, Business Analysts, Salesforce Administrators, and business partners to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions. You will also help develop platform standards, mentor developers, and promote the adoption of AI‑enabled development and automation throughout the software development lifecycle.
What You Will Accomplish
- Build, improve, and maintain customised Salesforce solutions that support critical business capabilities and central initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional groups to convert business needs into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Lead development initiatives across one or more Salesforce platform products, acting as the primary technical partner between product and engineering teams.
- Establish and promote engineering standards, governance processes, coding practices, and reusable frameworks to improve platform consistency and quality.
- Drive platform modernisation through AI‑enabled automation, performance optimisation, and adoption of modern Salesforce capabilities while reducing technical debt.
- Mentor and coach developers, contributing to technical excellence through architecture reviews, solution building, and continuous improvement of code quality, testing, CI/CD, security, observability, and release management.
- Enhance AI‑assisted software development methods by applying generative AI tools and AI‑enabled Salesforce features to boost engineering efficiency and delivery results while encouraging responsible AI governance.
What You Will Bring
- 8+ years of Salesforce development experience, including 3+ years as a Lead Developer or Technical Lead.
- Experience providing solutions on highly customised Salesforce platforms featuring complex integrations and handling large data volumes.
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs and web services (REST/SOAP), with a solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and development guidelines.
- Experience working with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery tools like Copado, Gearset, or comparable options, and test automation platforms such as AccelQ or similar.
- Experience working with AI development tools including GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Agentforce, Cursor AI, Gemini, and AI‑powered Salesforce features such as MCP and AI Agents, along with knowledge of responsible AI practices.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with strong problem‑solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I, Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, or equivalent certifications are valued.
