This role is part of the Conversion Programs team and will drive customer facing communications flows. You will serve as the portfolio owner, including revenue targets, long‑term strategy, roadmap, and execution. You will iterate and expand on various programs, primarily in the channels of Email, Push Notifications and the Native App Notification Hub. You’ll bring it all to life in close collaboration with your immediate partners: engineering, design, data science, and analytics teams. This is a highly visible role and you will work closely with various cross functional teams within eBay mainly on the Core Technology/Core Product side. What You Will Accomplish:
- The ‘CEO’ of your experience: defining and communicating the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the owned communications portfolio.
- Build the roadmap in close collaboration with leadership and other team members.
- Implement the roadmap by working with engineering, data science and design teams.
- Build MVPs, iterate fast and be the champion of execution excellence.
- Deep knowledge of eBay and its products with domain expertise in the marketing channels of Push Notifications and Email.
- Writing requirements and communicating them to the Engineering teams.
- Conducting AB tests: hypothesis building, test design, critical metric definition.
- Working with analytics teams to measure the impact on success metrics.
- Collaborating with creative team to improve content and design.
- Collecting and analyzing customer and user feedback to improve the product.
- Prioritizing features and work items based on business value, user needs, and other criteria.
- Conducting market research and competitor analysis to find opportunities and threats.
- Facilitating communication and collaboration between the development team and stakeholders.
- Tracking and reporting on your experience performance and key metrics.
- Continuously improving the roadmap and development processes.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong product / business / marketing experience with at least 1 year in ecommerce. Marketplace experience is strongly preferred.
- Technical Product Management experience or comparable experience working directly with Engineering teams (both front‑end and back‑end); technical understanding of building products / communications from scratch.
- Steadfast execution - ability to ship quality experiences in a fast paced and iterative manner.
- Experience in developing email and native app notifications in ecommerce.
- Experience navigating highly sophisticated cross‑functional projects end‑to‑end.
- Strong experience owner sense - ability to understand consumer needs and find simple and creative ways to address them.
- Metrics driven - ability to build actionable metrics which can measure experience performance.
- Builds positive relationships across various teams within eBay; an active listener and clear communicator; can lead by influencing.
