About the Team and the Role: eBay's Collectibles organisation is one of the most complex and rapidly changing parts of our business. It connects dedicated buyers and sellers in categories such as trading cards, arts & antiques, coins, and collectible toys.
We are seeking a Category Manager Collectibles to take end-to-end responsibility for one or more key categories within the vertical. In this role, you will be responsible for the performance and development of your category - shaping strategy, setting priorities, and driving initiatives that directly impact results.
You will partner with seller-facing teams and cross-functional groups to translate opportunities into outcomes. You will operate within a global environment and coordinate with international counterparts on topics beyond your local market. The role combines structured problem-solving with hands-on delivery across the key commercial levers of the business.
What You Will Accomplish:- Lead the performance of your categories, taking ownership for business outcomes and steering the key levers that get results.
- Define and continuously refine the strategy for your categories based on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
- Identify and prioritise the highest-impact initiatives, and drive them through to execution.
- Use data to understand performance drivers, uncover opportunities, and advise decisions.
- Act as a strategic advisor to key sellers and partners, supporting their growth and strengthening their presence on eBay.
- Identify gaps in supply and selection, and onboard relevant sellers and inventory to improve category competitiveness.
- Work closely alongside seller-facing teams and cross-functional partners (product, marketing, finance) to drive execution and remove barriers.
- 3+ years of work experience; prior experience in strategy consulting strongly preferred, e-commerce experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach and a clear bias for action and tangible results.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally and driving alignment across diverse collaborators.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence internal teams and external partners.
- Confidence in using data to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and drive performance.
