Research Scholar

Overview

The postdoctoral scholar is a research position, focusing on drug discovery, toxicology, pharmacology, and/or medicinal chemistry. The job may entail a training component to work with students and/or learners.

Responsibilities

Assist with certain training tasks of students, residents, and/or fellow.

Conduct research of drug discovery with supervisor’s input.

Assist with the research grants preparation

Assist with research result summary and presentation

Maintain detailed and comprehensive research notes and record

Take the initiative in problem solving and troubleshooting of experimental difficulties

Qualifications

Doctoral Degree in a scientific area, preferably medicinal chemistry. Preferred two (2) years of experience in a relevant research field with experience in the design and conduct of synthetic chemistry research. Remains up-to-date on relevant advancement of research topic areas.
