The Role: As part of the RSK Group, eb7 are embarking on a significant period of growth. As our new Associate Director/Director, you will have an excellent understanding of all eb7 group service lines and be able to identify and execute cross-selling, networking and business development opportunities across the group. You will both define and lead business development activities to win new business and clients as well as increasing market awareness and share for the eb7 brand.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Main client contacts and project lead on major projects.
  • Manage delivery of projects through liaison with clients, design team, external consultants and in-house resources.
  • Allocate appropriate resource to deliver projects in time and within budget.
  • Deliver on client expectations through highest quality delivery and commercial management.
  • Provide highest quality oral and written advice based on client’s scope/commercial requirements as well as an informed understanding of client needs.
  • Ability to undertake or direct site research, photos, VOA, land registry – make informed decisions regarding level of due diligence required based on the developing risk-profile of each project.
  • Review legal documents/deeds etc giving appropriately caveated opinions and deferring to legal advisors where appropriate.
  • Delegate tasks internally and liaise with colleagues to ensure appropriate resource allocation and delivery in-line with both programme and cost targets.
  • Advising on appropriate mitigation strategy considering holistic ‘risk-profile’ from both a planning and RoL perspective (e.g. age of neighbours, use, presence of deeds, planning risks, views of neighbours and stakeholders).
  • Demonstrate exemplary client care through appropriate communication and delivery in-line with client expectations, as well as hold line management, leadership responsibilities and accountability within team, service line and wider company.

Experience & Key Skills:

  • Ideally you will have at least 5 years of property/surveying experience within a similar role along with:
  • Excellent understanding of property development process and market.
  • Excellent understanding of UK planning system.
  • Excellent understanding of the UK legal system.
  • Expert understanding of daylight/sunlight guidance, policy and best practice.
  • Expert understanding of rights of light law, developing precedent and best practice.
  • A degree in Building/Property/Legal or related subject or studying towards property-related conversion/specialist courses and CPD/market experience would be desirable.

What will we offer you?

  • For Associate Director Applicants - £65,000-£85,000 (Depending on Experience)
  • For Director Applicants - £85,000-£110,000 (Depending on Experience)
