About the Opportunity
An established, award-winning Scottish catering and events business is looking to appoint an experienced Head Chef to lead culinary operations across weddings, corporate events, private dining, and premium office catering. The Role
As Head Chef, you’ll lead the delivery of high-end event catering across multiple venues and kitchen operations. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll drive quality, innovation, and consistency across all menus and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development & Delivery: Create and deliver bespoke, flavour-led menus for weddings, corporate functions, private events, and office catering.
- Kitchen Leadership: Lead and develop kitchen teams across production and event settings, including pastry/bakery functions.
- Quality & Presentation: Maintain exceptional standards across taste, consistency, and presentation in every service.
- Supplier & Seasonal Planning: Build and manage relationships with trusted local suppliers, designing menus around seasonal Scottish ingredients.
- Event Operations: Oversee prep-to-service execution on event days, ensuring smooth delivery and high standards under pressure.
- Innovation: Introduce fresh culinary concepts and continuously evolve the food offer.
- Compliance: Ensure best practice in food safety, kitchen hygiene, and health & safety across all operations.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership role (events, fine dining, luxury hospitality, or high-end catering preferred).
- Strong background in menu creation, plated service, and ideally pastry/bakery knowledge.
- Confident people leader with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop teams.
- Strong understanding of seasonal/local produce and supplier management.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistently high standards.
- Adaptable and calm in fast-paced, varied event environments.
