Eliot is seeking a Registered Dietitian experienced with nutritional goal setting and how mental health can impact it. We are a leading human services organization focused on two things: making a difference in clients' lives and the lives of our employees. Our ideal candidate will be driven, with an interpersonal savvy that allows you to develop lasting relationships with both the people we serve and with the ACCS Team.

Applicants must have an understanding of nutrition intervention in the context of mental and behavioral health. The Mental Health Division provides an integrated and comprehensive network of services to adults with psychiatric disabilities that are evidence-based, providing rehabilitation and hope to those in services. Located in Acton.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm

Salary: $57,680.00

Minimum Qualifications: Must have at least two years of experience working with people with disabilities.

Desired Qualifications: Two years of experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and consultation to Persons specific to their health, diet, nutrition, and level of activity.
  • Provide 1:1 support in developing plans for Persons related to their health, diet, exercise, and nutrition that are realistic in terms of individual preferences, budgetary constraints, needs, and abilities to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with ACCS staff to support intervention follow-through to promote achievement of identified goals.
  • Work closely with ACCS staff to identify nutrition-related goals and establish identified goals within Individualized Action Plans.
  • Develop and implement creative problem solving and nutrition intervention in the context of mental and behavioral health.
  • Develop and conduct nutrition groups and trainings for Persons and staff in general areas of health and wellness including nutrition and exercise.
  • Support GLE programs in-house meal planning and preparation of nutritious meals in collaboration with residents.
  • Support persons with high medical nutrition risk by meeting with them and their team directly, assisting them with follow-through of nutrition interventions to achieve their goals.
  • Conduct nutrition screenings, assessment, and documentation in a timely manner and according to client risk level.
  • Facilitate care coordination with GLE and other care providers.
