What You’ll Do

  • Lead Projects: Take charge of small to medium projects or key sections of larger initiatives, including proposals, new product introductions, and modifications/upgrades to in‑service products.
  • Plan & Coordinate: Work alongside other functions and project management, manage tasks, and ensure milestone success by engaging cross‑functional teams like airworthiness and safety.
  • Collaborate: Serve as the technical interface with customers, ensuring solutions meet expectations and translating those requirements internally.
  • Drive Excellence: Contribute all system lifecycle stages—requirements, design, development, integration, verification, and qualification.
  • Mitigate Risks: Manage technical risks and opportunities, ensuring system integrity and design traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support Growth: Support apprentices and junior engineers, manage engineering change, and work closely with leadership to ensure projects are well‑resourced.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant engineering field (HNC/apprenticeship with equivalent experience also considered).

Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Self‑motivated problem solver with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in engineering lifecycles, technical report writing, and design reviews.
  • Comfortable presenting technical content at all levels within the business.
  • Experience with project scheduling and, ideally, prior engineering document sign‑off.
