Located in Cwmbran, our Plant is the Center of Excellence for the Fire product line, a leading manufacturer and a global supplier of high-quality fire systems and devices.
We are looking for a Validation and Verification Engineer to work at our Cwmbran site on an 18 month FTC.

What You’ll Do
The Validation and Verification Engineer will support ongoing NPI projects and product audits of finished goods assemblies as part of both design verification and product verification activities
- Execute required verification, validation, and certification work packages on time and within defined budgets.
- Follow departmental standard practices, engineering reviews, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the R&D Engineering team on both new and legacy Fire Alarm devices and systems, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized standards.
- Create test plans and schedules linked to product and engineering requirements.
- Support third-party test houses with testing and verification of devices and systems during compliance testing to various standards.
- Design and execute tests based on established test plans.
- Develop detailed validation reports demonstrating full traceability of testing against requirements for engineering sign-off.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding sample readiness and coordination with external test suppliers for EMC/Environmental testing.
- Attend off-site testing to commission and configure test rigs and equipment.
- Work with the rest of R&D to identify and implement improvements in testing processes, such as automated testing, batch testing, and software rig testing.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a test, verification, and compliance role
