The key function of this role is to lead complex project tenders from initial review through final quotation to ensure maximum Eaton content meeting the needs of the project with a specialized expertise in digital power applications such as power monitoring and communications (e.g. EPMS / SCADA / BMS). This individual will play a critical role in helping Eaton to eventually deliver winning, profitable bids that have a clear scope of work with accurate technical and commercial commitments.

In particular, this role is designed for someone with a strong background in both electrical and digital areas - and ideally have hands on project site experience. This role will require interpreting the technical packages (drawings, specifications) to identify where Eaton's digital offers fit and to ensure alignment including agreed CDE's (Comply-Deviate-Exceptions) for all the technical aspects of a tender. This role can be performed from anywhere in Europe and requires good communications and organization of work to serve a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders while meeting agreed turnaround times.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze incoming RFQs (Request For Quotation) from customers.
  • Ensure Eaton's offer is aligning technically with customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with sales, applications, consultants, product owners, and the wider tender team such that Eaton bids are compelling and give the customer confidence in the offer proposed.
  • Assist in preparation of costing as per standard process and tools.
  • Meet agreed timelines for tenders and keep stakeholders aware of progress and any constraints.
  • Perform technical risk and opportunity analysis.
  • At time of win - manage a smooth handover to execution teams (and support after if needed) so that scope and works needed are clearly communicated.

This individual should have a good understanding and experience around the electrical infrastructure design and needs for buildings. Experience working on and around commercial and/or industrial projects and especially data centers is strongly desired.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Formal education or equivalent experience in automation for electrical systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering and design experience of electrical distribution systems for buildings.
  • Experience designing and/or installing automation systems for buildings or other infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with large scale Commercial projects.
