About Our Titchfield Site

Our Titchfield facility is the largest of Eaton’s Fuel and Motion Control Systems (FMC) locations in the UK, forming part of a three‑site network alongside South Molton in North Devon and Bedhampton in Hampshire. With around 500 employees, Titchfield is home to a broad community of Commercial Specialists, Engineers and Programme Managers who support both current and legacy programmes across our UK FMC operations. The site has been part of Eaton since 2005, but its heritage stretches back much further – originally serving the RAF during World War II as a manufacturing centre for barrage balloons. Today, Titchfield plays a critical role in the aerospace industry, focusing on the design, manufacture and aftermarket support of essential fuel system components for major aircraft manufacturers including Boeing and Airbus.

What You’ll Do

The position focuses on problem resolution for direct and indirect material and services from major internal and external suppliers, strategic commodities, and multiple locations. It manages the throughput of bottleneck materials by identifying and taking direct action to release technical, system or documentation issues assigned to material supply base availability for Titchfield, ensuring uninterrupted availability at optimum cost, quality, and service for the site. The role maintains essential relationships with suppliers and creates new ones within the organization and supply base, balancing supplier quality, engineering specification adherence, delivery expectations, and material availability. It champions problem resolution between internal functions and external material supply organizations.

Critical Outputs

  • Manages effective resolutions related to documentation error, technical or source changes and approvals for delivered materials pending release.
  • Conducts problem resolution with internal and external suppliers, developing win‑win solutions and fostering positive relations.
  • Co‑ordinates internal functions where revision levels need system updating for material availability or manages and executes the process related to non‑conforming material requiring Return to Vendor.
  • Monitors source change requests and expedites approvals, communicating action required for completion, aligning with Quality function for FAIR documentation and requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Manages and maintains any required external permit and concession applications, expediting completion through effective links with quality, supplier and engineering functions.
  • Facilitates critical form completion and signatory processes for Permits, concessions, FAIR and CAF Forms.
  • Supports supplier questions on accounts payables and resolves invoice payment issues.
  • Facilitates cross‑functional collaboration to ensure effective material availability and takes ownership of prompt resolutions.
  • Develops skills in multi‑functional processes, analyzing technical change requests pertinent to quality and engineering delivery.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience working within operations, material management, or quality functions, desirably within Aerospace.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial terms, practices, and contract conditions in a corporate setting.
