Eaton's manufacturing plant in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire specialises in alarm, signal, control and notification equipment and is now looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their site team.

What you'll do:

  • The manufacturing Process Engineer provides production with all the required program data for the blank production & late configuration in order for the production schedule to be maintained. Ensures programming enables timescale, sheet utilization and productivity targets to be fulfilled.

Responsibilities:

  • Collate production schedule data and prepare data for use in Radan Project software & Trumpf TruTops Cell Software.
  • Program the work for both the 2D and 3D Laser machines in a timely fashion, making the best possible use of the raw material and fulfil the planned schedule.
  • Maintain standard programming data, to ensure that all data is accurate, including that within RADAN.
  • Produce laser symbols for product variants, to fulfil customer orders.
  • Maintain Sheet Remnants, using them whenever required, to minimize material wastage and enable efficient throughput.
  • Ensure SAP Data is maintained and updated accordingly.
  • Operate closely with the fabrication team to maximize the efficiency of the laser cutting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment.
  • Able to interpret information from customer drawings to create parts that meet customer expectations and internal standards.
  • Good technical ability of CNC machinery within an engineering / Sheet Metal manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • Good 2D/3D laser programming skills.
