To provide a logistics led support function to the NLAW Cell, with responsibility for kitting, planning, coordination, and administrative logistics activities, alongside a supporting role in assembly within a controlled manufacturing environment. The role is fast paced and requires a proactive individual who can support operational output by ensuring materials, kits, and supply chain activities are aligned to production demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the NLAW Cell through kitting of jobs in line with production schedules and demand.
- Understand and support logistics planning and forecasting from an administrative perspective.
- Ensure materials and components are available to support operational output.
- Work closely with planning, operations, and production teams to drive results.
- Liaise with external suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring materials and services are aligned with operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support logistics and production activity.
- Respond quickly to changes in priorities, demonstrating a fast paced, flexible, and responsive approach.
Assembly Support
- Support the assembly of NLAW products within a controlled environment as required.
- Assist with assembly tasks in line with job instructions and company procedures.
- Carry out part selection in accordance with job orders.
- Adhere to strict quality, safety, and output requirements.
Essential Functions
- Kitting and preparation of NLAW jobs to support production.
- Assembly of NLAW specific components (supporting role).
- Soldering in accordance with IPC 610 (where trained).
- Compliance with strict quality and product output guidelines.
- Obtain and maintain A Stamp approval where applicable.
- Apply knowledge of Lean tools, supporting continuous improvement and participating in Kaizen events.
- Work proactively, using own initiative to identify and resolve issues in line with company procedures.
Qualifications
- Understanding of a logistics or materials support role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a fast paced, operational setting.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively and respond to changing priorities.
- Soldering experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Assembly experience is desirable but full training will be provided.
