We are looking for a System Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team in Wimborne, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of cutting-edge aerospace systems.
What You'll Do
- Perform Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), and System Safety Assessments (SSA) in accordance with ARP4761, MIL-STD-882, and other relevant standards.
- Ensure all design changes are assessed for safety impact and support classification of modifications.
- Maintain compliance with CS 25.1309, DEF STAN 00β56, and other applicable regulations.
- Provide expert guidance to engineering teams on safety-related issues.
- Support certification and airworthiness activities, including engagement with regulatory authorities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all safety activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a System Safety Engineering role or similar.
- Strong knowledge of SAE ARP4754 and ARP4761.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced engineering environment.
