What You'll Do
Experienced subject matter expert within the supply chain function specializing in new program and product development activities for the FED division. This role acts as the primary interface between plant operations and the program management office. Responsibilities include developing program sourcing strategies, owning supply chain program activities, master scheduling of program builds, and working through various functions to achieve program objectives. Ongoing collaboration is required with plant buyers, production planners, design engineering, operations, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, program managers, and FED strategic sourcing teams. Acting as a "go-to" person within the new program development function and SCPM role for questions and problem resolution.
Essential Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert and liaison between FED supply chain organization and program management office (PMO).
- Ensure adherence to program cost, schedule, and performance requirements through strategic source selection and supplier engagement.
- Demonstrate detailed understanding of Eaton's PROLaunch process and function as the primary point of contact responsible for SCM deliverables within the Integrated Product Team (IPT).
- Establish performance objectives, schedule parameters, and metrics tied to specific projects or evaluation of new opportunities.
- Ensures compliance with applicable contract flow-downs (FAR, DFAR, TINA, etc).
- Develop, with the IPT, the Risk Management/Mitigation plan and ensure the plan is fully understood, deployed and periodically reviewed by the IPT and Eaton management.
- Manage and track Sourcing Gate Review process compliance for all program Bills of Material (BoM) and applicable prototype hardware builds.
- Manage deliverables and facilitate meetings with IPT members to ensure hardware delivery schedules are achieved (e.g. released engineering, router creation, process/equipment development, etc.).
- Coordinate the exchange of technical information regarding product and product processing with adequate safeguards for confidentiality in compliance with Eaton Data Management policies.
- Acting as an authority within all PROLaunch projects and activities between FED sites including IR&D, MRL playbook, PRELaunch, and STP projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain, Project Management, or Advanced Manufacturing.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
- CPIM, CSCP, and/or PMP certification.
Skills
- Detailed knowledge of Eaton's PROLaunch process, ERP system, and SCM processes (or similar transferable knowledge).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support a cross-functional team.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
- Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Detailed knowledge of ERP and procurement processes.
- Experience leading new product development projects.
- Understanding of fluid conveyance related products, manufacturing techniques, and materials science.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing process, metal forming, assembly/test in an Aerospace environment preferred.
