Role purpose

Responsible for leading and managing a complex, high‐profile international project that introduces new capabilities to Eaton and solutions for a key aerospace customer, with an end user in the defence sector. The role oversees the delivery of advanced air‐to‐air refuelling systems, including associated controls and cockpit integration, as well as ensuring compliance with aircraft certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver the project to agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Lead, motivate, and provide clear direction to the project team.
  • Plan, organise, coordinate, and oversee all project activities.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Ensure effective and open communication across the team and with all stakeholders.
  • Lead project planning activities and define resource requirements aligned to the agreed scope.
  • Build and manage strong customer relationships, including leading regular meetings.
  • Track, update, and report on overall project performance, including financials, schedules, work breakdown structures, and risk registers.
  • Ensure adherence to all project governance and internal review processes.
  • Control and minimise the impact of scope changes.
  • Comply with health and safety responsibilities, taking reasonable care for yourself and others.
  • Ensure sensitive data is handled and shared in line with company policy.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Experience of managing complex projects of the same or similar functions and technology, with proven delivery track record.
  • At least 5 years' experience working in cross‐functional, integrated project teams.
  • Hold a recognised Project Management qualification.
  • Demonstrated track record in achieving challenging milestones and budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to create plans (in Microsoft Project).
  • Be able to facilitate problem solving and gaining engagement in resolving day‐to‐day issues.
  • Understand, document and manage risk.
  • Strong knowledge of the product life cycle.
