This is a hybrid position (remote possible), based in the UK, Germany, Austria or Hungary.
What You’ll Do
The SAP FICO / CO-PA BPO Specialist will proactively monitor, analyze, and remediate FI and COPA data gaps across ES EMEA. The role ensures accurate, timely, and reliable end-to-end profitability reporting in Oracle Planning by addressing root causes upstream in SAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Early Detection
- Perform daily monitoring using automated check files
- Monitor FI (FCCS) and COPA (BW) refreshes during WD1–WD3
- Identify failed jobs, data misalignments, and ledger-level variances using defined materiality thresholds
- Track variance snapshots across the month-end close
- Proactive Remediation
- Partner with respective stakeholders (SCM, OTC, MDM, Fin,…) to correct postings and master data issues
- Guide and support KE21N COPA-only entries when required
- Coordinate with IT/COE teams to remediate system or configuration defects causing COPA gaps
- Standards & Enablement
- Develop and publish playbooks, job aids, and standardized month-end checklists
- Maintain COPA reporting and variance analysis documentation
- Deliver training to finance power users and codify recurring root causes and fixes.

- Ledger-level variance reports with audit trail and snapshots
- Documented root-cause analyses and permanent fixes
- COPA Gap remediation before Month-End closing starts and live-fixing during closing
- Standardized playbooks, training materials, and job aids
Stakeholders - MDM, OTC, Procurement, and SCM teams, FP&A, local finance Teams and Controllership Teams, IT / COE
Qualifications And Skills
- Strong SAP ECC FI and COPA expertise
- Solid understanding of FI‑SD integration and month-end close processes
- Experience with BW / COPA reporting and variance analysis
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally across finance, IT, and operations
- Fluent Business English (C1) is a must have; local language knowledge is very nice to have (e.g. German, French, Polish, Hungarian)
- Strong presentation and communication skills, as you will act as a trainer and mentor

- COPA gaps above materiality thresholds identified and resolved before close
- Reduction in WD4 manual adjustments
- Improved confidence and stability in product‑level gross margin reporting
