About the role

We are seeking a new outstanding Director of Music at Eaton Square Prep in Central London. The role will lead the music department for pupils aged 2-11, fostering musical talent and inspiring a love of music throughout the school.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the music curriculum for Year 1 to Year 6
  • Organise, assess, report on and record pupil development, progress and attainment
  • Collaborate with all staff to deliver the music curriculum
  • Lead school performances, plays, orchestras and ensembles
  • Provide high standards of education and care in line with school aims, policies and procedures

Qualifications and experience

  • QTS trained
  • Relevant music qualifications
  • Successfully completed NQT/ECT year
  • Right to work in the UK

Additional information

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:20 am to 16:20 pm term time
  • Start date: September 2026 or January 2027
  • Candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and online checks
