Leading a team of technicians within the Eaton Aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul department. Ensuring timely turnaround of both Civil and Military Aerospace components in line with Eaton's contractual commitments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day labour planning and monitoring actual vs plan.
- Track Daily Absorption within the Cell.
- Engage team to maximise production.
- Recruit new staff as required.
- Present daily production reviews/team meetings with relevant personnel ensuring metrics are current and timely and any subsequent issues escalated accordingly.
- Support team APEX goals including training.
- Manage performance expectations including sickness.
- Oversee and monitor production flow, troubleshooting production issues to ensure timely delivery of production plan, recommend and implement process improvements where necessary.
- Ensure Safe Working Practices are always adhered to.
- Carry out and maintain risk assessments and adhere to COSHH regulations.
- Maintain line cleanliness through good housekeeping 5s+ practices.
- Ensure Company policies, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), CMM 's (Component Maintenance Manual) are met including accurate maintenance of all production paperwork.
- Demonstration of Leadership and SMS competencies to ensure engagement.
- Deputise for the PM where required.
- Able to process repair orders through the key steps to support production.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience leading others.
- BTEC/A Level equivalent.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
Skills
- Working knowledge of Aerospace products, policies and associated assembly techniques and performance test methods essential.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings/CMMs.
- Able to lead and motivate a team within a controlled environment.
- Ability to work closely within a team environment and contribute effectively to problem solving activities.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise workload and resource.
- Understanding of Lean tools desirable.
- Experience of working within a Part 145 organisation essential.
- Strong communicator.
