Reporting to the Stores Team Leader, the holder of this position shall have responsibility for kitting and issuing of Production areas (MRO and OEM) and other user departments at Bedhampton. The role encompasses receiving materials from vendors, booking goods, and receipt to store locations. The holder will work within packaging and dispatch areas. The role may involve working across Stores, Shipping, and Dispatch functions as needed. The holder must train in correct procedures and practices associated with the Stores functions.
Responsibilities
- Main Stores
- Ensure materials required for production are issued from stores according to production schedule, complete batch documentation.
- Correctly pick parts from store locations against kitting requirements, ensuring correct batch numbers, and complete documentation.
- Assist in daily cycle count activities.
- Maintain store area neat and enter details into ERP system. Target: 130 lines received per day.
- Assist with unloading of piece parts.
- Check quantities against purchase order and delivery notes; note discrepancies.
- Unpack and inspect all pieces, update ERP system.
- Inventory Record Accuracy
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory balances, parts identification, storage location, quantity. Target 98% accuracy.
- Assist in daily cycle counts, investigate and rectify errors.
- Maintain accurate transactional traceability, audit trails, data integrity.
- Continuous Improvement
- Take proactive role in continuous improvement programme associated with supply chain and company functions.
- Packing / Dispatch
- Responsible for packing product and spares for shipment to customers.
- Ensure all paperwork required for shipment is correctly processed.
- Copy as required and report back to shipping function timely.
