Our Wimborne facility specialises in cutting‑edge air‑to‑air refuelling systems, advanced refuelling probes, air‑to‑air and air‑to‑ground launch systems utilising both pneumatic and pyrotechnic ejection technologies, as well as a range of Defensive Aids Sub‑Systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble and test product to agreed engineering methods and processes.
  • Support and conform to quality procedures to maintain compliance, ensuring adherence to defined processes and procedures.
  • Carry out assembly tasks without supervision.
  • Work with the team to identify and drive productivity and performance improvement opportunities to support cost reductions.
  • Understand lean manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous development of safety, health and environment requirements within the team’s work area.
  • Actively support and progress personal development needs to ensure task flexibility via the use of skills matrix.
  • Attend start‑of‑shift and end‑of‑shift meetings with the team to review targets, performance measures and communications.
  • Escalate issues to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attain approved operator stamp with scope approval relevant to the job role.
  • Complete tasks on time to the required standard, minimising job card variances and adhering to SHE requirements.

Qualifications

  • Understands and is able to perform a number of tasks within the team.
  • Has completed a recognised apprenticeship or experience to equivalent depth and breadth.
  • Can demonstrate relevant experience within the skill group.
  • Successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR controlled technology, goods, and information.
  • As a condition of employment, employees with access to US ITAR controlled technology and goods may be required to undergo an additional screening process as part of the recruitment process.
