Eaton Titchfield is the largest of Eaton's Fuel and Motion Control Systems (FMC) locations in the UK, with around 500 employees. The site plays a critical role in the aerospace industry, focusing on the design, manufacture, and aftermarket support of essential fuel system components for major aircraft manufacturers including Boeing and Airbus.
What you'll do:
- The position focuses on problem resolution related to direct and indirect material and services from major internal and external suppliers.
- Manage the throughput of bottleneck materials by identifying and taking direct action to release technical, system or documentation issues assigned to material supply base availability.
- Maintain strategic relationships and create new ones within the organization and supply base.
- Balance supplier quality, engineering specification adherence, delivery expectations, and materials availability.
- Champion problem resolution between internal functions and external material supply organizations.
Critical Outputs:
- Manage effective resolutions related to documentation error, technical or source changes and/or approvals for delivered materials pending release.
- Conduct problem resolution; develop win-win solutions and create positive relations with tact and expert judgment.
- Co-ordinate between internal functions where revision levels need system updating for material availability.
- Monitor source change requests and expedite through to approval.
- Align with Quality function and source for FAIR documentation and requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and maintain any required external permit and concession applications.
- Facilitate supplier questions on accounts payables and support any necessary activity for disposition of invoice resolutions and/or payment issues.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective material availability.
- Develop applicable skills in multi-functional processes and gain experience in analyzing and interpreting technical change requests.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience working within operations, material management function or quality function, desirably within Aerospace.

- Possesses a level of technical knowledge and experience in understanding technical drawings and key characteristics related to direct material requirements.

- Knowledgeable in ERP system operations, functions, and interfaces.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, heavily influenced by Excel.
- Basic knowledge of commercial terms, practices, contract terms and conditions in the corporate setting.
