High growth multi-site business based in Nottinghamshire is seeking a skilled and proactive individual to support the Financial Controller and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial information to drive business performance.
As Assistant Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing high-quality monthly management accounts for multiple trading entities (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations including stock, provisions, accruals.
- Completing VAT (UK & EU) and EC Sales List.
- Producing weekly payroll postings and reconciling payroll control accounts.
- Overseeing cash reconciliations across multi-currency operations.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
- Delivering weekly trading and performance reports, providing analysis and commentary.
- Acting as a key contact for external auditors and supporting statutory reporting.
- Driving process improvement across finance, supporting automation and efficiency.
We’re looking for a proactive Qualified Accountant who would thrive within a dynamic, international environment and act as a close support to the Finance Controller in day-to-day finance operations. You will be a qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with strong relevant experience within a growing SME or complex business setting. Working closely with leaders across business operations, you will be a confident communicator able to explain financial data to non-finance colleagues.
