Group Finance Manager
North Nottingham
£50,000 – £55,000 Benefits
We’re delighted to be partnering with a manufacturing group to appoint a commercially minded Group Finance Manager.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller you will have ownership producing good quality financial information, improving processes, and leading a small but capable finance team. The business is well-established, highly profitable, and continuing to invest in growth — making this a brilliant time to join.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management process across group entities
- Oversee monthly and year-end close, ensuring accurate, timely reporting
- Deliver robust management accounts with insight and commentary to support decision-making
- Ownership of job costing, WIP tracking, and project margin analysis across contracts
- Consolidate group results, manage intercompany eliminations, and ensure consistency in reporting
- Partner with operations to assess contract profitability and support pricing strategies
- Drive working capital and cash flow optimisation across a project-based billing environment
- Oversee credit control, treasury management, and compliance matters
- Play a key role in system and process improvement (ERP and reporting)
- Coach and develop the finance team, ensuring a culture of high performance
- Contribute to strategic planning, M&A activity, board reporting and investor updates
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in manufacturing or a project-led environment
- Proven background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Excellent Excel and systems skills (Pegasus exposure useful but not essential)
- A natural team leader with the ability to mentor and build capability
- High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
- Comfortable managing complexity and operating in a dynamic, evolving business
