Eaton Syalon are partnering exclusively with a growing UK business to recruit a Health & Safety Administrator into a newly created role. The role is in the ideal location for candidates based in Measham, Burton upon Trent, Swadlincote and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional who is looking to build a long-term career within Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of health and safety processes, systems and reporting, while gaining hands-on exposure across a broad range of SHEQ activity. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, proactive and keen to develop within a professional, structured environment.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Promoting positive Health & Safety behaviours and challenging unsafe practices where observed
  • Providing proactive administrative support across SHEQ systems and processes
  • Maintaining accurate records for training, inspections, audits and incidents
  • Gathering, processing and analysing SHEQ data to produce reports
  • Supporting internal and external audits and compliance activity
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of SHEQ policies and procedures
  • Coordinating external inspections, assessments, audits and meetings
  • Administering SHEQ systems (including EcoOnline) and generating reports
  • Maintaining PPE, equipment and register records
  • Supporting Health & Safety communications, awareness campaigns and meetings
About you:
  • Previous administrative experience, or a relevant degree/qualification
  • A genuine interest in Health & Safety and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Confident using systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive, reliable and keen to learn
