Are you a qualified surveyor with a couple of years of post-qualification experience, looking for a more commercially focused role? If you’re ready to broaden your valuation expertise and take on a diverse and rewarding portfolio, this could be the perfect next step.

We’re working with an exceptional business in the Midlands that is looking to bring in a Commercial Valuation Surveyor to undertake core Red Book valuations while expanding into specialist areas such as:

  • Section 18 & End of Lease Valuations – Assessing lease expiry, tenant reinstatement obligations, and landlord claims.
  • Building & Compulsory Purchase Valuations – Providing valuations for properties affected by CPOs and compensation assessments.
  • Business Rates & Rent Reviews – Conducting rateable value assessments, negotiating rent reviews, and appeals.
  • Investment & Development Valuations – Supporting property acquisitions, disposals, and feasibility studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Commercial Property Valuations – Offices, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties for secured lending, acquisitions, and financial reporting.
  • Market Analysis & Research – Providing accurate valuation assessments based on rental values, yield rates, and market trends.
  • Prepare High-Quality Valuation Reports – Ensuring compliance with RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book).
  • Site Inspections & Due Diligence – Conducting property visits and gathering comparable evidence.
  • Client Advisory & Stakeholder Liaison – Engaging with landlords, tenants, lenders, and legal professionals.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Standards – Ensuring all valuations adhere to RICS regulations and ethical standards.
  • Business Development & Networking – Building relationships, attending industry events, and identifying opportunities to expand services.
