We are supporting an established UK-based FMCG manufacturing business with the appointment of an experienced ERP Strategy & Delivery Specialist for a business-critical ERP implementation. This role will combine strategic delivery oversight with hands-on execution, working closely with the Head of Transformation and senior stakeholders to align ERP delivery with operational priorities and ensure the business is ready for go-live.

The role would suit an ERP contractor who enjoys being close to the detail, working with users across the business and helping turn implementation plans into practical outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Head of Transformation in shaping the ERP implementation strategy, delivery roadmap and go-live approach.
  • Leading delivery across key workstreams including finance, operations, supply chain, procurement, warehousing, production and reporting.
  • Translating ERP objectives, business requirements and process decisions into clear plans, milestones and delivery actions.
  • Reviewing current-state processes and supporting the design, documentation and adoption of future-state ways of working.
  • Coordinating data readiness activity, including cleansing, migration preparation, validation and business ownership.
  • Supporting UAT planning, test scripts, defect tracking, cutover planning, go-live readiness and hypercare.
  • Managing actions, risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring blockers are escalated and resolved.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, functional teams and external implementation partners to maintain momentum.
  • Producing practical process documentation, user guides, training materials and adoption plans.
  • Providing pragmatic delivery guidance to ensure the ERP solution meets the needs of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven ERP implementation and delivery experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or operational environments
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes
  • Hands-on experience across data migration, testing, cutover and go-live
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A pragmatic, organised and delivery-focused approach
  • Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP Business One, NetSuite, Sage X3, Infor, IFS, Epicor or Oracle would be beneficial, although wider ERP implementation experience will also be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key strategic and delivery role in a major ERP implementation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
