Eaton Syalon is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing UK-based technology and engineering business looking for a talented Management Accountant to join its Finance team during an exciting period of transformation and growth. The company supports customers across sectors such as manufacturing, automation, energy, security, and transportation.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in supporting group reporting, month-end processes, forecasting, and financial analysis as the business continues to implement new operating systems and enhance its finance function.
Key Responsibilities will include:- Assist the financial controller with group finance reporting requirements
- Preparation of month end journals and accruals
- Updating forecast models
- Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts
- Conduct variance analysis with insightful commentary
- Assist with Month end reporting to tight deadlines
- Cash flow review
- Detailed analysis and drilldown of transactions by cost centre
- Assist with the timely weekly reporting to Group
- Ensure the smooth running of finance processes
- Assist with year-end audit queries
- Assist finance manager with day-to-day workload
- Assist finance team with credit checks and finance queries
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), studying towards your ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification, or AAT qualified with over 5 years’ experience in management accounting
- Study support offered
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
