Eaton Syalon has been retained to work with a high-growth, Private Equity-backed group whose turnover and EBITDA have tripled over the past 36 months. The business is on an exciting growth trajectory with ambitious plans ahead, and this Head of Financial Reporting role will play a critical part in supporting that journey.
This is a senior, hands-on role with ownership of group reporting, consolidation, statutory accounts and technical accounting, working closely with the CFO and senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Monthly Reporting
- Take ownership of the groupβs multi-currency consolidation process
- Liaison with reporting entities to ensure an accurate and timely close
- Ensure integrity and appropriate understanding/analysis of business unit submissions and overall consolidated results
- Timely and accurate posting of all eliminations and necessary consolidation adjustments
- Preparation of consolidated group accounts and schedules
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly Bank Reports & Bank Covenants
- Preparation of the Monthly Financial Review pack for external reporting
- Liaison with reporting entities to provide guidance on group policy and technical requirements
- Support the CFO in the development and implementation of best practice and systems across the group
- Budgets & Forecasts
- Consolidation of the Annual Budget and preparation of the group Balance Sheet and Cashflow
- Preparation of Group Forecasts on a regular basis as required
- Statutory Reporting
- Lead the Group statutory audit and annual tax process, including preparation of Going Concern Assessments, Impairment Reviews and other statutory requirements
- Preparation of Group Consolidated Statutory Financial Statements and UK Legal Entity Statutory Financial Statements
- Other Ad-Hoc & Technical Responsibilities
- Other ad-hoc reporting as required
- Company Secretarial tasks as required
- Technical specialist support for the group and operating sites
- Implementation of new Accounting Standards
- US GAAP monthly conversion from FRS 102
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience
- Proven experience of multi-currency consolidations
- Advanced technical knowledge of FRS 102 reporting
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- High level of commitment and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, able to engage clearly and confidently across different cultures and stakeholders
