We’re partnering exclusively with a private equity–backed, fast-growing group experiencing sustained and significant growth. As a result, the business is looking to appoint a newly created Group Financial Reporting Manager to play a pivotal role in strengthening group reporting, consolidation, and financial governance.
This role offers broad exposure across group finance, close interaction with senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to shape reporting processes in a dynamic, acquisitive environment.
The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of group reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and statutory support, working closely with site finance teams across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Group Reporting – Monthly Consolidation
- Management of the monthly consolidation of group results.
- Preparation of the group consolidation, including:
- Consolidating reporting packages from all Business Units and ensuring intercompany balances are treated appropriately.
- Reviewing monthly reporting packages from Business Units and performing analytical reviews of key metrics vs Budget, Forecast and Prior Year.
- Preparation of group consolidation journals.
- Preparation of the Group Cashflow Statement and completion of key checks to ensure results are accurate and complete.
- Preparation of the Group Management Accounts Pack.
- Monthly group forecasting including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, Order Book and Banking Covenants.
- Preparation of banking covenant calculations, including a strong understanding of the legal banking agreement.
- Liaising with site finance teams to ensure accurate business unit reporting and compliance with group procedures.
- Assistance with the Group Audit, including audit of the group consolidation.
- Support for Business Units on local audits, including Tax and Statutory Accounts.
- Involvement in the year-end budget process, including designing and issuing the timetable, instructions and communications to all sites.
- Review of site budget submissions.
- Consolidation of group annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Preparation of financial presentations with detailed analysis across the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
- Development and maintenance of Group Accounting and Tax Policies.
- Providing technical accounting support to site finance teams as required.
Person Specification
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience with multi-currency consolidations.
- Advanced technical knowledge of FRS 102 reporting.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong sense of commitment and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across different cultures.
