Eaton Syalon is delighted to be partnering with a well‑established and growing SME to recruit an Accounts Assistant into their friendly and supportive finance team. This role offers the opportunity to join a down‑to‑earth SME environment where finance plays an important role in the day‑to‑day running of the business. You will work closely with an experienced Management Accountant and a wider team who value collaboration, reliability and a positive team spirit.

The position would suit someone who wants a varied finance role, building strong relationships across the business and being part of a team where people genuinely support each other. We are open to individuals from a range of backgrounds — whether you are studying AAT, considering studying, or simply bring solid finance experience and enjoy working in a practical, fast‑moving business environment.

The Opportunity

In this varied role you will support the smooth running of the finance function across both office and operational activities within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Preparing and issuing sales invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Raising bank payments and reconciling bank accounts
  • Supporting project and site teams with financial information
  • Assisting with VAT
  • Supporting the Management Accountant with wider finance tasks and projects
About You
