Eaton Syalon has been exclusively engaged to partner with an exceptional, high-growth professional services business on the recruitment of a People Director for their UK business. This is an outstanding opportunity to shape the people strategy for a dynamic organisation with a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, values-driven culture.
About the Role
As the People Director – UK, you will report to the Chief People Officer and in partnership with the UK Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team (SLT). You’ll lead the charge in balancing commercial performance with employee engagement, well-being, and development to ensure long-term organisational success.
This senior leadership position is critical in driving a forward-thinking, commercially aligned people strategy that nurtures top talent while embedding a culture of excellence, collaboration, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership – Develop and deliver a commercially focused people strategy and budget in partnership with the SLT.
- Employee Value Proposition – Champion the company’s values and behaviours, driving a culture of respect, accountability, and growth.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – Advance the organisation’s EDI agenda through robust policies, gender/ethnicity pay gap initiatives, and fostering an inclusive recruitment and progression framework.
- Talent Development – Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver professional development pathways, leadership programs, and succession planning.
- Employee Engagement – Drive initiatives to enhance engagement and well-being, ensuring the company continues to be recognised as a great place to work.
- Compliance and Risk Management – Oversee employee relations, policy adherence, and risk management, ensuring all practices comply with employment law and GDPR requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a talented team of People Business Partners and operational staff, delivering high-quality, commercial business partnering.
We are keen to talk to senior HR Leaders with an exceptional blend of strategic and operational skills. Ideally you will have gained extensive experience within the professional services space and understand the requirements of a high growth, dynamic business environment. To excel in this role, you will be a commercially astute and values-driven leader with a proven ability to shape and implement people strategies that drive business performance. Our clients business has sites across the UK so if your experience has been within a multi- site setting this is ideal. You will be CIPD qualified or equivalent, possess excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style. You will be data driven and proficient in using HRIS systems and analytics to inform strategic decisions.
