We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join a busy finance team based in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced purchase ledger specialist who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes and supporting a small team. As Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the purchase ledger function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in supporting the wider finance team, ensuring controls and processes are followed and helping to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and support the day-to-day purchase ledger function * Lead, motivate and develop members of the purchase ledger team * Ensure invoices are accurately processed and authorised in a timely manner * Manage supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies * Oversee payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time * Deal with supplier queries and maintain strong working relationships * Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure aged items are appropriately investigated * Assist with month-end close and purchase ledger reporting * Ensure purchase ledger processes and controls are consistently followed * Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and procedures * Work closely with other departments to resolve invoice and payment queries About You: We are looking for someone with solid purchase ledger experience who is now ready to take on a supervisory position, or an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor looking for their next challenge.
