Job Description

Credit Controller\\nLocation: Derby\\nContract Type: Initially Temporary\\nSalary: – £14 – £15\\n\\nAbout the Role:\\n\\nEaton Syalon are partnering exclusively with a business in Derby to recruit a Temporary Credit Controller to join their finance team. The role will focus on managing aged debt, ensuring timely collections, and providing accurate financial information to the finance team and wider business as needed. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running, making headway on outstanding balances and maintaining excellent customer relationships.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Managing client accounts to ensure timely collections of outstanding invoices\\n\\n * Monitoring credit limits, assessing financial risks, and liaising with clients regarding overdue payments\\n\\n * Preparing detailed reports on receivables, aged debts, and recovery actions\\n\\n * Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth account reconciliation and resolution of billing issues\\n\\n * Provide support to the finance team in managing daily financial tasks\\n\\nEssential Experience & Skills:\\n\\n * Previous credit control experience\\n\\n * Strong understanding of credit control processes and aged debt management\\n\\n * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills\\n\\n * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines\\n\\n * Proactive, organised, and able to hit the ground running\\n\\n * Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel\\n\\n * Available to start at short notice\\n\\nDesirable Attributes:\\n\\n * Experience in a fast-paced commercial environment\\n\\n * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\\n\\nBenefits:\\n\\n * Competitive daily/weekly rate\\n\\n * Temporary position with potential to go permanent\\n\\n * Supportive team environment within a professional finance function\\n\\n * The opportunity to work your hours across 4 or 5 days\\n\\n * Hybrid role
