Eaton Syalon are partnering with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Engineer to support operations across their Burton sites. This is a varied position suited to someone who enjoys working across facilities, maintenance, and process improvement, with a strong focus on health & safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain clear procedures and work instructions across manufacturing, assembly, and warehousing operations
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, material flow, and overall efficiency, working closely with operational teams
- Support departments to ensure packaging solutions are effective, cost-efficient, and maintained to required standards
- Ensure products and assemblies are stored appropriately to maintain quality and integrity
- Assist in planning and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure compliance with ISO and health & safety standards
- Contribute to facility layout improvements and evaluate new technologies to enhance operational performance
- Provide ongoing support to site managers across a range of operational activities
- Oversee contractor activities on-site, ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations
- Support the implementation and maintenance of health & safety procedures across all departments
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and safety checks including fire safety and compliance testing
- Assist with risk assessments, training, and statutory requirements
About You
- Previous experience in a facilities, production, or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of health & safety practices and compliance requirements
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (essential or highly desirable)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with teams at all levels
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and handling multiple priorities
