Eaton Syalon are supporting a well-established national care provider with the appointment of an Interim Bids & Placements Coordinator to support a critical occupancy improvement project across their social care portfolio. This is a high-impact interim assignment focused on helping reduce void beds across services through a more proactive, commercially focused approach to placements and referrals activity. This is not a traditional “sit behind the scenes and write bids” role. The successful individual will take ownership of driving opportunities through the full placement lifecycle — identifying opportunities, engaging with commissioners and stakeholders, coordinating submissions, and ultimately helping convert activity into placements.

The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and commercially focused, requiring someone who is comfortable operating autonomously and bringing pace, structure, and energy to a live pipeline of opportunities.

The Role
  • Lead and coordinate bid, referral, and placement activity across the portfolio
  • Proactively identify opportunities through Local Authorities, NHS commissioners, frameworks, and spot purchasing channels
  • Work closely with operational teams to understand current service capacity, voids, and placement suitability
  • Coordinate high-quality submissions and commercially focused responses
  • Prioritise opportunities that will have the greatest impact on occupancy levels
  • Engage with stakeholders across operations, finance, and care services to ensure a joined-up approach
  • Bring structure and momentum to a fast-moving pipeline of opportunities
  • Support a proactive approach to increasing occupancy rather than simply reacting to inbound tenders
About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have experience within:

  • Supported living or residential care
  • NHS or Local Authority commissioned services
  • Placements, referrals, bids, or occupancy management
  • Business development within regulated care environments

You may currently be working as:

  • Placements Manager
  • Business Development Manager
  • Occupancy Manager
  • Partnerships Manager
  • Commissioning or Placements Coordinator
The successful individual will be:
  • Commercially aware and delivery focused
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple live opportunities
  • Confident engaging with operational and senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working at pace within an interim environment
  • Proactive in identifying and converting opportunities into placements
