We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor to join a busy finance team based in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced purchase ledger specialist who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes and supporting a small team.
As Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the purchase ledger function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in supporting the wider finance team, ensuring controls and processes are followed and helping to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support the day-to-day purchase ledger function Lead, motivate and develop members of the purchase ledger team Ensure invoices are accurately processed and authorised in a timely manner Manage supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Oversee payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time Deal with supplier queries and maintain strong working relationships Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure aged items are appropriately investigated Assist with month-end close and purchase ledger reporting Ensure purchase ledger processes and controls are consistently followed Identify and implement improvements to finance processes and procedures Work closely with other departments to resolve invoice and payment queries About You:
We are looking for someone with solid purchase ledger experience who is now ready to take on a supervisory position, or an experienced Purchase Ledger Supervisor looking for their next challenge.
