Temporary Accounts Receivable Controller Nottingham based Hybrid role - 3 days from office & 2 days from home 3-months initial interim role
Role Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join our client on a 3-month interim basis, with a specific focus on reducing aged debt, resolving outstanding customer queries and identifying opportunities to improve the underlying AR processes. The successful candidate will be expected to understand the current AR position, identify the reasons behind outstanding debt, take ownership of complex queries and work collaboratively across the business to drive resolution.
Alongside delivering improvement in the ledger, the role will identify root causes, control weaknesses and process inefficiencies, providing practical recommendations to prevent issues from recurring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate customer queries and dispute invoices to resolution, actioning accordingly to raise credit notes, rebill, amend pricing, update PO reference. - Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Logistics and other relevant teams to resolve issues and track queries through to completion. - Challenge internal blockers constructively and ensure ownership is established. - Identify recurring customer queries and establish their root causes. - Respond to customer queries within agreed service levels.
We're looking for a candidate with a strong background in accounts receivable. You must be able to demonstrate experience with complex query resolution, cash allocation, stakeholder engagement and bring proven experience in dealing with an aged-debt project within a previous role.
You will need to have:
- Strong Excel skills - The ability to communicate across all levels of business - Proven experience with complex query resolution and aged-debt
