Eaton Syalon are recruiting for a Interim Senior Buyer to join a high-performing procurement function within a dynamic, forward-thinking business. This is a key role in the procurement team, offering exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and cost optimisation across a diverse supply chain.
This is a full-time 12-month FTC role. To be considered for this role you need to be immediately available or on a short notice. This is essential to be considered for the

The role is ideal for candidates based in Ilkeston, Langley Mill and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing activities, including supplier negotiations and contract management
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation within key spend areas
- Build and manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Ensure procurement activity aligns with operational goals and compliance frameworks
- Deliver reporting and insights on supplier performance, costs, and KPIs
- Support onboarding and due diligence for new suppliers
- Act as a mentor and support to operational buyers where needed
About You:
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier negotiation and procurement frameworks
- 3-5 years experience in procurement ideally within technical or engineering led environments
- Confident using MS Office, procurement systems, and data tools to support reporting and analysis
- Excellent communicator with strong organisational and time management skills
- CIPS qualified or currently working towards qualification preferred
