The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.
You will support the plant quality function, acquiring fundamental engineering process knowledge and manufacturing quality competencies.
- Conduct dimensional inspections of injection moulded and stamped components and report findings in written inspection reports.
- Perform mechanical tests on components and assemblies, reporting results accurately.
- Provide input into part modification decisions considering product form and functional requirements.
- Calibrate production gauges and equipment and ensure calibration database is kept up-to-date.
- Update controlled documents and standard operating procedures.
- Support the site’s internal ISO 9001 quality audit program as a trainee quality system auditor.
- Support the administration of customer return processing.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including problem solving and root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- GCSE or Equivalent (Mathematics and English level 4 or above).
Skills
- IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Mathematics at level 4 or above at GCSE.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Interest in engineering and technology.
