What you’ll do:
- As a machine operative, you will be responsible for the setting and operating of mechanical and computer‑operated equipment within a busy, fast paced environment working a rotational two shift working pattern, reporting to the departmental supervisor.
- You will be required to use a variety of tools whilst following safety guidelines and regulations.
- Setting of authorised equipment.
- Control and adjust authorised equipment to ensure product complies with business quality requirements.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of authorised equipment.
- Troubleshooting production issues, stoppages and errors.
- Perform routine maintenance where authorised.
- Be able to work as part of a team to meet company production targets and deadlines.
- Follow standard operating procedures and health & safety requirements.
- Demonstrate an awareness of production order requirement parameters to achieve delivery times and customer requirements.
- Demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
- Ability to react quickly when problems arise.
- Monitor and record equipment output.
- Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to achieve efficiency and quality priorities.
- Show a competency towards general fault‑finding.
- Undertake training necessary for development as agreed with Team Leader / Supervisor.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.

- Machine experienced, computer literate, MRP experienced, various measuring equipment.
