What you’ll do:
- This position is for a Systems Engineer (SE) supporting new product development and research in Eaton’s Mission Systems Division (MSD).
- The Systems Engineer is responsible for requirements management, system architecture development, and supporting system integration and test.
- The candidate will be an individual contributor alongside other system engineers based in the UK and in global teams.
- Support Bids & Proposals
- Review customer requirements documents
- Define areas of risk and updates
- Develop SE estimates tailored to scope/need
- Collaborate with product team to manage requirements: write, allocate, and trace
- Develop system/subsystem specifications
- Create and manage verification matrices
- Migrate from CRADLE to DOORS NG / IBM JAZZ ELM
- Contribute to Pilot Programmes for DOORS NG
- Develop Requirements Management Plans
- Contribute to Migration Plans from CRADLE to DOORS NG
- Support training sessions for DOORS NG
- Engineering Administrator of DOORS NG for WIM SE team
- Interface with IT as needed to support requirements‑management tools
- Leverage training to support other US‑based divisions
- Migrate from EA to CAMEO
- Contribute to Pilot Programmes for CAMEO
- Develop architecture modelling plans
- Contribute to Migration Plans from EA to CAMEO
- Support Eaton Aerospace Process development
- Contribute to Engineering / BMS processes
- Support process to identify level of systems engineering required for programs
- Support metrics to measure SE process implementation
Qualifications:
- Experience in systems engineering most likely obtained in safety‑critical development environments such as aerospace, automotive, defence or others – full lifecycle, V‑diagram etc.
- Experience using requirements tools such as DOORS, Cradle, Jama etc.
- Any experience with MBSE (Model‑Based Systems Engineering) such as EA, CAMEO, SysML, SysMod etc.
- Relevant engineering training or qualifications.
This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
