We are seeking skilled and motivated Airworthiness Engineers to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the regulatory compliance of the air-to-air refuelling and actuation systems we develop. This role involves working closely with design, operations, and functional teams to ensure that applicable airworthiness standards are identified and met. You will report to the Airworthiness Manager and depending on your level of experience, will help to develop other Airworthiness Engineers within the team. You will be part of an integrated team including Airworthiness and System Safety specialists, and supporting the wider Office of Airworthiness which maintains and operates under UK MAA DAOS, UK CAA Part 21G and 145, and EASA Part 145 approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all designs, modifications and repairs comply with relevant airworthiness regulations and standards.
  • Certification: Prepare and review certification documentation for systems and components.
  • Inspections: Conduct detailed inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to engineering and operations teams regarding airworthiness issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all airworthiness activities and certifications.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as a liaison with aviation regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to airworthiness processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related discipline.
  • Ideally 2 years as an Airworthiness Engineer or related role.
  • Knowledge of EASA, FAA, and UK MAA regulations.
  • Communication, Negotiation, and Resilience.
