We are looking for a Field Service Commissioning Engineer who will provide a service to Eaton customers to carry out preventative maintenance on our UPSs manufactured within the Eaton Electrical business and to maintain other existing UPS equipment to fulfil customer requirements in line with Eaton Safety requirements. You will focus on hyperscale data centers in the region.
What you’ll do:
- Commissioning of large UPS systems.
- Ability to understand on-line and line-interactive UPS systems.
- Ability to understand and create commissioning scripts.
- Carry out site acceptance testing on customer sites.
- Ability to use and understand power quality meters.
- Experience in thermography and reporting.
- Battery experience VRLA and Lithium Ion.
- Setup and configure remote monitoring software.
- Communicate with key stakeholders on a technical level.
- Apply anti-static policies and procedures.
- Apply ECN process to all repairs.
Qualifications:
- Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Possessing three-phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge.
- A good understanding of UPS systems.
- Knowledgeable of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP.
- Knowledgeable of programming of PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA, or process control).
