Overview
As Strategic Buyer - Networks, you will manage complex procurement for multiple sites, balancing demand, supplier capacity and quality to keep production flowing. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to secure capacity, negotiate long-term terms, and coordinate material availability. The role emphasizes supplier development, risk management and compliance, enabling on-time delivery for aerospace components. This is a hands-on, collaborative role with meaningful impact on continuity of supply and cost performance.

Responsibilities
- Balance demand with supplier capability across South Molton, Bedhampton and Titchfield to align purchasing with network plans
- Procure complex, non-standard, non-repeat and low-volume requirements meeting quality, delivery and compliance
- Manage purchase orders, expediting, cancellation and recovery to close gaps with customer requirements
- Lead material forecast collaboration with suppliers and secure capacity commitments
- Source and develop suppliers; support tendering and negotiate pricing, terms and long-term agreements
- Manage supplier transitions, gate reviews, ramp-up/down with risk governance
- Coordinate technical procurement for controlled/undisclosed programs ensuring specifications are captured
- Coordinate with Quality on defective material actions to protect production
- Resolve invoice and receiving issues with Accounts Payable to protect supplier relationships
- Analyse ERP/MRP data; prepare risks, recommendations and recovery plans for leadership
- Support cross-site reviews and supplier performance meetings with clear ownership
- Collaborate with Commercial on Aftermarket quotations, align procurement assumptions with constraints
- Provide training and coaching to buyers to promote consistent regional processes
- Work within export control, trade compliance and company policy requirements
- Travel ~30% to suppliers and Eaton sites
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, engineering, operations or related discipline
- Minimum two years of procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering or operations experience
- Two or more years in procurement/supply chain in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Professional procurement or supply chain qualification such as CIPS, APICS (preferred)
- Cross-functional collaboration
