Overview

In this role you help secure a resilient supply chain for Eaton’s aerospace manufacturing network across South Molton, Bedhampton and Titchfield. You’ll manage complex procurement, supplier capacity and demand alignment, driving continuity of supply for both standard and non-standard requirements. You will collaborate with multiple functions to optimize transitions, pricing and delivery while supporting the centre of excellence transformation. This position offers meaningful impact through strategic supplier development and cross-site governance.

Responsibilities

  • Balance current and future demand with supplier capability and capacity across multiple sites to align purchasing schedules with demand and network plans
  • Procure parts and services with complex, non-standard, low-volume requirements while meeting quality, delivery and compliance expectations
  • Manage purchase orders and supplier commits, including expediting, de-expediting, cancellations and recovery to meet customer requirements
  • Lead material forecast collaboration with suppliers, secure capacity commitments and escalate constraints through governance
  • Source and develop suppliers, support tendering, evaluate proposals and negotiate pricing and long-term agreements with Commodity Management
  • Manage supplier and in-site transitions (gate reviews, ramp-up/down) using risk-based governance
  • Coordinate technical procurement for controlled or undisclosed programmes ensuring engineering specs and purchasing requirements are communicated
  • Coordinate with Quality on defective material return/rework to protect production and delivery
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable and suppliers to resolve invoice and receiving issues that could interrupt supply
  • Analyze ERP/MRP data; prepare risk reports and recovery plans for leadership
  • Support operational tier and cross-site reviews and supplier performance meetings with clear ownership
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on Aftermarket quotations and align procurement assumptions with lead times
  • Provide training and coaching to buyers to promote consistent regional processes
  • Ensure compliance with export control, trade, ethical sourcing and company policy
  • Travel ~30% to suppliers or Eaton facilities to support regional requirements

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in business, supply chain, engineering, operations or related discipline
  • Minimum two years of procurement, manufacturing, supply chain or related experience
  • Strong supplier, PO, delivery recovery and commercial issue management in manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Ability to travel ~30% and operate across multiple facilities
  • Analytical, planning and problem-solving capability with structured risk and recovery approach
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and influence actions through relationships and process discipline
  • Clear written and verbal communication with senior leaders
  • Strong commercial judgement and supplier negotiation and performance management
  • Ability to manage multiple requirements across facilities with attention to detail and timely follow-through
